Professor Valentín Ceña received professors Plotniece and Soboloveb, from the Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis, at the Neurodeath Unit, with the aim of strengthening scientific collaboration between both research teams. During the visit, new joint lines of work were discussed and experiments were designed aimed at advancing the study of molecular mechanisms involved in neurological pathologies.
As part of the tour, the capabilities of the in vivo recording unit for small animals as well as the inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry analytical unit were presented. These infrastructures are aimed at the development of innovative treatments in the field of personalized medicine, with an interdisciplinary approach and commitment to health equity.
