The Laboratory of User Interaction and Software Engineering (LOUISE) was founded in 2000 and during those years it has focused its research activity within the field of Human-Computer interaction.
Since then, until now it is directed by Prof. Pascual González, Professor of Computer Systems at the University of Castilla La Mancha (UCLM, Albacete). It is currently made up of ten staff researchers from the University of Castilla La Mancha (UCLM).
The research lines of this group are aligned with the RIS3 of Castilla-La Mancha in the following sectors:
The group basically focuses on the application of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) to the development of systems. It applies the newest techniques, from Virtual Reality, Brain-Computer Interfaces or Gesture Interfaces, to the development of new generation interactive systems (Post-WIMP interfaces).
All this applying rigorous Software Engineering processes to guarantee the quality of the developed systems. In turn, recently the group has focused mainly on the development of systems in the field of Health, creating systems that allow specialists to design new therapies in which ICT plays an essential role.
